Gluten Free Cinnamon Rolls with Coconut Glaze

Quinoa Stir Fry Bowl

I’m not going to lie to y’all. I have been eating horribly for the past few weeks. I started eating gluten again, which immediately made me feel bloated and disgusting. Most of my meals consisted of crackers or bread. Maybe some nuts. Not a veggie or fruit to speak of. Needless to say I came down with a horrible cold last week and that’s when I knew I had to get back on track and start taking care of myself again. What’s the best health care? Food, of course!

So I thought I was pretty in the know about all the vegan restaurants in the area, but for some reason I had never heard of Elderberries Cafe. Vegan, Organic, and Gluten Free options abound in this quaint little place on a quieter stretch of Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood.

Tomato Cilantro Pasta

If you’re a regular follower of this blog you may have come to realize that I’m a huge fan of pasta as demonstrated here and here. I love making variations of these dishes because, let’s face it, they are easy, delicious and you can do so many different things with it and never get bored (maybe that’s just me?).

Letting Go of Leather

Being vegan is an ever evolving journey that everyone needs to do at their own pace. When I decided to go vegan, it was completely dietary, I didn’t want to consume animal by-products anymore. After becoming involved in the community and meeting other vegans, I realized I needed to start researching the beauty products I was using and stop buying the non-cruelty free items. Why would I give up eating animal products, just to be smearing them all over my face and body on a daily basis?
