Spicy Potato Stew

Soups and stews are the epitome of comfort food to me. There’s something about a steaming bowl of soup with the aromas wafting in front of my face that brings me so much joy. I even have a happy soup song I sing (and sometimes there’s a dance to go along with it). Tortilla, lentil, tomato, black bean….if it has the word soup after, I’m probably going to be all over it.

Vegan Interrogated: Andrea from Andrea’s Easy Vegan Cooking

Another amazing discovery I made this year during Vegan MoFo was Andrea’s Easy Vegan Cooking. I was immediately drawn to her recipes and her warm style of writing. Reading her posts makes you feel like you’ve known her forever and that you’re sittin’ in the kitchen with her sharing a glass of wine…plus check out her adorable dog! Read on to find out more about Andrea.

Giveaway: Vegan Organic Military Hat

Last week I debuted my new line of embroidered hats. They are a military cap style made from 100% organic cotton and come in two designs on two colors: green and black. They are embroidered one by one by me in my home – not in a sweatshop. I happen to think they are adorable and a great conversation starter and now is your chance to win one!

Vegan Chocolate Banana Protein Shake 2.0

Almost 2 years ago (holy crap, time flies!) I posted a recipe for my simple chocolate banana protein shake. I’m kind of embarrassed of my horrible iPhone pics that I used to think were good enough to share, but it’s all about evolution, right? Growing and improving as a blogger. What has also improved is my recipe for this shake. I’ve added a couple elements to give it an extra boost of awesomeness. Plus, better pictures.

I was very lucky to meet Jackie a few weeks ago and she is so much fun. Super funny, passionate about veganism and just an all around cool chick! Read on to find out a little bit more about Jackie.

Apple & Sausage Stuffed Acorn Squash & VeeV Sage Cider

A couple months ago I was contacted by VeeV and asked if I wanted to make a dish to pair with one of their signature cocktails for an upcoming feature. Without hesitation I gave them an emphatic YES! I love VeeV. As you may remember, during the month of September I made weekly cocktails using this earth-friendly Açaí Spirit: my take on a mojito, pomegranate ginger concoction, citrusy basil spritzer and a warm apple cider. Needless to say I was stoked at the chance to work with VeeV!!

Vegan in BUF and ORD

As some of you know, I spent a few days in Canada/Buffalo a couple weeks ago and had pretty good luck finding an awesome health food store (Bamboo) and vegan PODs from Pizza Plant, but the airports themselves were a bit more difficult. Luckily, I was able to find food in both the Buffalo and Chicago airports.

Organic Vegan Embroidered Military Hats

As some of you may know, besides eating a ton of vegan food and blogging I also make things. I started my online shop for handmade home decor, Fabulously Fierce, back in 2008 (hence the name FabooFierce in a lot of my social media accounts). When I started Fellowship of the Vegetable I meant to keep it separate from the me-making-stuff endeavor but you know how things tend to evolve and I ended up opening up a FotV shop on Storenvy for my vegan themed items.
