Review & Giveaway: Chocolate Decadence Vegan Chocolates

Sometimes being a blogger has it’s perks. Like, for instance, when an old high school friend of mine contacted me and asked if I’d be interested in trying out some organic vegan chocolates. Of course my answer was an over-enthusiastic yes! I mean, come on – lots of gourmet vegan chocolate to eat and then share my experience with y’all – I’m so in! And the best part? Chocolate Decadence is going to send one lucky winner $50 worth of chocolates – wow! Don’t miss out on this one!

Review & Giveaway: PlantFusion Protein Powder

PlantFusion is my all-time favorite vegan protein powder. I discovered it a couple years ago walking by a health store in Santa Monica when they were out front demo-ing it. I tried samples of the chocolate, vanilla bean & chocolate raspberry and was immediately impressed with the flavors. I walked inside and bought a big bottle of the chocolate right then and there.

Review: Donut Friend

It’s very rare that I get a hankering for donuts, but when the craving comes on it hits hard. The itch for sugary fried dough came on strong the other morning and in my brief insanity I almost proposed a drive to Ronald’s Donuts in Vegas to fill the need. Fortunately (or unfortunately) L.A. doesn’t have a ton of options for vegan donuts.

Vegan in Niagara: Bamboo Natural Food Market

The husband and I took a trip out to Niagara on the Lake in Ontario Canada this past week for his family reunion. We stayed in a gorgeous house right on Lake Ontario (all 20 of us!) and I had a blast getting to know all of his family a little better. We went to the falls, Fort George, a few wineries and did a lot of relaxing while taking in the surroundings on the back porch. Vegan options were few and far between, but we made due with what we had to work with!

Viva La Vegan Grocery

What the what?! An all vegan grocery store, you say? Hell yeah, that’s what I say! Viva La Vegan Grocery is a huge all vegan grocery store in Rancho Cucamonga, CA (or so I’ve heard, I have yet to go there) but they just recently opened an “Express” version in Santa Monica – oh happy day! You know I was there just as soon as humanly possible!

Fōnuts: Vegan & Gluten-Free Deliciousness

I’ve never been a huge donut fan. Every year or so I would get a craving for one of those fried rings of dough covered in milk chocolate and upon consuming, without fail, I would feel disgusting. Stomach ache, heavy, gross. It seems a year was about how long it would take me to forget the aftermath of that brief indulgence. Needless to say, I was not a donut junkie.
